Aotearoa is a beautiful country with many wonderful things to do and see and is a great place to live and thrive but when there are pro’s there are also con’s.
Here is a definitive list of the Top 10 Worst Places To Live In New Zealand.
- Marton
Starting off strong with the town of Marton, with a population of around 6,000 there is not much to do at all really, however the reason they are not higher on this list is because they have world class chicken and chips.
- Auckland
Many of you might put Auckland at number one, it’s expensive, the weather is like a see-saw, there’s too many people and traffic is a nightmare.
- Hamilton
Do we really have to elaborate on this one?
- Kawerau
Another North Island small town situated about 58 kilometres away from Rotorua and with a population of 8,000, there really is nothing at all, although they have a lovely bakery.
- Ashburton
So depressing and takes so long to drive through with nothing nice to look at.
- Levin
Lowkey just kinda yuck, but at least there are things to do, like the Christmas parade once a year.
- Kaikohe
Yuck, but with nothing to do.
- Huntly
Depressing town but has a cool DEKA sign, that sign is actually why they aren’t number one.
- Invercargill
Many have argued that Invercargill could take top spot for a number of the reasons but in all honesty it doesn’t compare to number one, even though it’s literally in the wops there is a splash palace.
- Greymouth
Taking top spot of worst places to live in New Zealand, Greymouth, a small town where its only redeeming factors are the Dominos pizza and the Monteiths Brewery. Terrible weather all year round with the best activity in Greymouth being the ability to leave.
