A local Christchurch man believes he has found the be all and end all cure for male loneliness.

Chris Godfrey, a 26-year-old accountant has recently revealed his Spotify Wrapped to his three friends in which they were surprised to find that Godfrey had listened to Scribes hit song Dreaming 3,397 times in 2024.

Godfrey revealed that when his friends were out busy the dulcet tones and exquisite lyricism of Scribe helped him cure his male loneliness.

“My mates can be busy a lot of the time with their own lives, so when I’m by myself I often pull up Scribes 2003 album The Crusader to keep me entertained”.

Godfrey says the lyrics in the song really speak to him on a personal level particularly in the chorus when Scribe sings “I was down and out, struggling” despite Godfrey not experiencing struggle his entire life.

He also listened to Not Many (Savage Remix) over 500 times this year and it has started influencing his vocabulary, he can often be heard saying “not many, if any” and “give it up for Savage”.
