We are back, looking at New Zealand’s highest-paid CEO’s in 2025. We did it last year, and now it is time for a refresh.

Let’s see if there have been any big risers or fallers.

 

  1. Neal Barclay – $3.2 Million – Meridian Energy

Coming in at 10th, a new addition to this list, Neal Barclay, who is the CEO of Meridian Energy taking home $3.2 million.

 

  1. Dan Huggins – $3.3 Million – BNZ

Another new addition to the list, CEO of BNZ Bank, Dan Huggins, raking in $3.3 million.

 

  1. Lewis Gradon – 3.5 Million – Fisher and Paykel Healthcare

Fisher and Paykel healthcare variety CEO, Lewis Gradon, makes a return this year, falling to eighth spot, making $3.5 million, just slightly less than last year.

 

  1. Don Braid – $3.7 Million – Mainfreight

Mainfreight CEO Don Braid keeps his spot at 7th place, taking home $3.7 million whilst making 200,000 more than last year.

 

  1. Greg Foran – $4.1 Million – Air New Zealand

Air New Zealand CEO Greg Foran makes a huge jump from 10th to 6th, with the airline boss bringing home $4.1 million, making a million more than he did last year. 

 

  1. Nick Grayston – $4.2 Million – Warehouse Group

 

Another new addition to the list with Warehouse Group CEO Nick Grayston, taking home the fifth spot, making $4.2 million.

 

  1. Vittoria Shortt – $5.1 Million – ASB

One of the all-time girl bosses, Vittoria Shortt, breaking the five million dollars threshold and rising into 4th position, the ASB Bank CEO is taking home $5.1 Million.

 

  1. Miles Hurrell – $5.9 Million – Fonterra

The Milkman retains his third spot on the list, CEO of Fonterra, Miles Hurrell, taking home a whopping $5.9 million, making $1.3 million more than last year.

 

  1. David Bortolussi – $6.5 Million – A2 Milk

Milkman Plus takes the second-highest-paid CEO in New Zealand award for a second year running.  David Bortolussi of A2 Milk fame is bringing in $6.5 million.

 

  1. John Cullity – $7.2 Million – Ebos

In first place again is John Cullity, CEO of Ebos. He makes a staggering 7.2 million dollars a year. Again, I ask, any chance on a loan?
