Statistics from a recent survey conducted by Real Kiwi Fitness show that pilates memberships for women over the age of 40 have increased by 80% since the last survey conducted in 2021.

They believe that this sharp and sudden increase is due to the rise in Pilates Tiktok where women from all over display how Pilates can transform their bodies #pilatesgirl.

Due to this rise in Pilates memberships, They have also seen a rise in sales of Lululemon clothing and Frank Green water bottles.

The pilates trend has been on the rise since 2021. With the average cost of pilates memberships going from $19.99 a week to almost $40 a week, the industry is profiting majorly off the #pilates trend.

However, due to the rise, we have seen a decline in activities such as mid-week art classes and book clubs.

One avid pilates goer said, “Well, usually I have book club on Wednesday but I saw this girl on TikTok doing pilates so I  pulled out my Lululemon outfit and filled up my Frank Green bottle from that one time I did hot yoga and gave it a go. I haven’t looked back since!”
