Kiwi ingenuity has struck again and seems to have turned a pretty dire situation into somewhat of a water-based amusement park.

This comes after Dunedin was hit by the “wettest day in a century” with biblical amounts of rainfall.

As the floodwaters rose some residents were evacuated whilst others built fortifications.

The public was urged to evacuate if need be and keep safe from floods, however, some decided it would be a great idea to have a go rafting down one of the local rivers.
