A local Wellington mum has caused major stress within her family after admitting to a $2000 Temu charge on her credit card.

Linda Hamilton has most recently become the victim of the all-consuming “Temu spending spree”, an issue that can happen to anyone who likes to spend impulsively and loves a deal.

Linda says she bought many cool things such as 15 pop sockets which haven’t been cool since 2018 and personalised bracelets which will be great for her grandchildren.

“I was looking for little trinkets to give my grandkids and I saw bracelets and pop sockets for 3 dollars each so I thought I’d get one for each of them”

The real kicker is when Linda discovered the furniture and decor section of the Temu app and decided she wanted to do some redecorating.

She went berserk and purchased new side tables, cushions, wall hangings and lamps. In the space of 30 minutes, Linda had spent over $2000.

Linda has now informed her family that she will delete the app and no more purchases will be made.

She has 37 Temu orders in transit.
