Kiwis love a good garage sale and there are certain things you’ll only find at one in NZ.
- Those Marae Mugs
If you’re from NZ, you know exactly what I’m talking about—the translucent brown mugs every marae has. If you can find them, they’re an absolute steal.
- A collection of Hairy Mclary books
It is a classic Kiwi book series every child has read. You can usually find these at 90% of all Kiwi garage sales.
- A random assortment of car parts
I don’t know if anyone usually buys these because they are usually 40 years old but they make cool decorations.
- Random little trinkets of sea creatures
Usually like Dolphins or Turtles, you can put on your mantelpiece, usually found at garage sales run by people over 60.
- Stolen street signs
Usually, they’re because someone’s parents are cleaning out and have really funny kids who have probably moved out.
