If you’re wanting a whole New Zealand farmed lamb for dinner you better book your flights over to the states because it’ll only run you 4$ USD which is roughly $6 NZD per pound, costing you less than a Big Mac.

However, because the United States likes to be quirky and different from the rest of the world and likes to use the imperial system, if we do the maths 4$ USD per pound will be around roughly $9 USD per kg which is roughly equivalent to $15 NZD.

Back home in Aotearoa if you are looking for a kilogram of good Kiwi lamb it’ll set you back roughly $20, which still means it is cheaper to Kiwi farmed lamb over in the states.

Sounds like daylight robbery.
