Being in Auckland there are way too many things to do, so we’ve created a list of just 10 things to do from the usual stuff to the more weird and unique.
The Skytower
Well, you’ve got to start off with the obvious one, if it’s your first time in Auckland, you’ve definitely got to give it a look.
Being sober down the viaduct Friday nights.
If you’re looking for something cost effective to do, head down to the Auckland Viaduct sober on Friday nights and watch everything unfold, it’s like being at the zoo but not having to pay.
Auckland Zoo
If being sober at the Auckland viaduct on Friday nights wasn’t enough for you and you want to see actual animals, then the zoo is for you.
Drive your car at 4am with your speakers on max volume
If you want to get a hands-on experience of what it’s like to be a real Auckland hooligan, this is exactly the activity for you.
Axe Throwing
It just sounds cool, that’s why it made the list.
Make Beers
If you consider yourself a beer drinking connoisseur, get down to the brewing institute in New Lynn and test your skills by brewing your own beer.
Kelly Tarltons
Kelly Tarltons has a really cool stingray named “Barb” and has a pretty elite gift shop, definitely worth a visit.
Motat
A Science and Technology museum for all. If you had a love of trains and transport as a kid (like me) this is a lot of fun.
Botanic Gardens
In a concrete jungle like Auckland, you wouldn’t expect there to be many nature sites, but the Botanic Gardens are some of the best I’ve seen, a lovely place to unwind and chill out.
Dark Dining
Okay, so this might be one of the coolest things I’ve seen, pretty much you eat surprise meals in the dark and its a fully sensory experience. If its your vibe, give it a go.
