A group of Otago University students have been granted honorary degrees after achieving one of the biggest scientific feats, The cure for hangovers.
The effective cure has been heralded as one of the greatest discoveries mankind has ever made.
A group of 20-year-old commerce students have admitted they accidentally came across the discovery after a big night of drinking in their Castle Street flat.
One member of the group Samantha Hale said the group’s usual go-to hangover cure is a blue V and a steak and cheese pie, but recently the effectiveness has worn off.
“Usually we go for the classic Blue V and pie hack but after the last few weekends we’ve realised it doesn’t work as well as it used to”
The group decided to try something different, they decided to grab a medium-pulp orange juice, a BLT sandwich and a lovely walk to reconnect with nature.
They realised after the walk they felt more productive, had a clear mind and no feeling of being ill.
Word spread about the cure and quickly reached the board of Otago University who quickly honoured their efforts and discovery.
The accidental discovery has now reached the Nobel Prize organisation.
