An 18-Year-Old who was caught speeding at 215 kph told police he had a soccer game in 30 minutes and needed to get home to have a shower.
The man had been seen approaching and passing two vehicles at a significant speed in his red Audi, just after 11am on August 3.
The driver of one of the vehicles said Aitken was only centimetres away from his vehicle as he passed it, a police summary of facts said.
He was reported as ‘’absolutely flying’’ by another driver, who called emergency services.
At 11.33am, he was seen travelling at speed towards a marked police vehicle, and was clocked on the radar at 215kph.
He told police he had a soccer game in 30 minutes and he needed to get home and shower before he played.
The driver had his licence suspended and his car was towed away.
