A photo of an incredibly rogue snack has gone viral on Reddit leaving thousands bewildered, labelled the “Fairy Snag” a culinary scientist has decided to combine two familiar snacks.
The Frankenstein looking food features a piece of fairy bread which consists of buttered white bread with sprinkles and a sausage topped with some classic T sauce.
Captioned “Anyone else experience this two-in-one” the post received more than 4000 upvotes and over 700 comments with people who expressed horror at the creation.
“Is this legal?” one user posted, with others calling it “a monstrosity”, “offensive” and “against the rules”.
However, in a big twist it turns out the original poster was not the inventor of this delicacy but was actually inspired by a recent episode of hit children’s TV show Bluey.
In the episode titled Butlers, Bluey makes a request to his in-house chef in his imaginary dream house, asking for a “fairy bread sausage sandwich but with no orange sprinkles and not the sugar-free tomato sauce”.
On the Adult Blueys Fans Facebook page, one person admitted she “just had to try it” after watching the episode, stating, “It was actually pretty good!”.
Others also revealed they were “tempted” to give it a go after watching the episode, with people saying that they tried it at their daughters birthday party and simply said it was “yum”.
