Champagne Papi, commonly known as Drake has touched down in Melbourne ahead of his The Anita Max Wynn month long tour in Australia and New Zealand.
This will be the first time the Canadian rapper has performed on New Zealand shores since his Boy Meets World tour back in 2017.
Fresh off the back of his public and viral feud with American rapper Kendrick Lamar he will be performing two highly anticipated shows at Auckland’s Spark Arena on Friday the 28th of February and March 1st.
Before he gets to Aotearoa however, he will be performing five shows over the ditch, two in Melbourne, two in Sydney and one in Brisbane.
Whispers of this tour came about back in November after Rolling Stone magazine reported that Drizzy posted on his Instagram story about upcoming Australia and New Zealand dates.
“February 9th for anybody that’s watching from Australia, I’m coming back to Australia for the first time in eight years. Coming back to Australia on tour,” Drake said, adding that the shows will continue “until, like, March something”.
Tickets are in high demand but there are still some available ranging from $130 seated to $830 for the VIP sections.
