Kiwi Kai Kara-France has earned himself a shot at the UFC flyweight championship after UFC president Dana White announced the main and co-main for UFC 317.
On the heels of his incredible knockout over title challenger Steve Erceg last August, Kara-France has clipped his ticket to fight flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja.
This will be the second time these two have shared the octagon together but under completely different circumstances.
The pair fought in a two-round exhibition on season 24 of The Ultimate Fighter that Pantoja won by unanimous decision. This time it’s a major pay-per-view for the UFC title.
Pantoja will be looking to complete his fourth title defence after taking the title from Brandon Moreno at UFC 290.
The fight is scheduled to take place on the 28th of June.
