They said it couldn’t be done, but the local Wellington lad who tasked himself with folding a fitted sheet has achieved the impossible.

Comedian Dan Boerman attracted hundreds and maybe thousands whilst he took on the task on Cuba Street on Monday.

Boer not only perfected the art of folding a fitted sheet but also the art of promoting his upcoming Australia and NZ tour.

The tour, titled Dan Boerman Folds a Fitted Sheet On His Own, is about “situationships, relationships and everyone else in between”, he says.

When asked what was with the fitted sheet, he said it was just one of those things he had never learnt to do.

“The fitted sheet was one of those things where I moved out on my own after long-term a relationship, and there was that moment where I was like, I never learned how to fold a fitted sheet.”

Boerman said he never expected the amount of attention he would receive and watched YouTube videos on the best technique.

“I find it hilarious that everyone’s responded so well to it.”

“Wellington, you are so weird,” is how Boerman greeted his crowd, which was met with a roar.

Boerman managed to fold the sheet in around two minutes, announcing afterwards: “We have achieved the impossible.”

He then incorporated some crowd engagement and invited two people from the crowd to attempt the feat, and they both succeeded.
