According to the readers of Travel + Leisure, Queenstown has been ranked New Zealand’s “best city”.

The world’s adventure capital placed third in the New Zealand/Australia category behind Sydney and Melbourne, with Auckland placing fourth.

More than 186,000 people voted across a variety of categories.

Although, technically Queenstown doesn’t count as a city as the population needs to be at least 50,000 and the tourist hotspot hovers around the 30,000 mark, it still counts according to this US-based outlet.
