Arguably one of, if not the most dangerous role in all of hospitality and fast food, being a KFC drive-thru operator is not for the faint of heart.
Often occupied by 17-year-old high school students or 50-year-old women the intensity of this role cannot be overstated.
The worst of this role comes usually after sports games or late at night before closing when a large-scale order is made.
The young high school student or 50-year-old woman on duty has to ensure the order is correct, in not doing so will probably lead to many complaints on the local community Facebook page or worse the dreaded “Let me speak to your manager”.
This job can take a mental toll on those who decide to take this role.
One retired 23-year-old KFC drive-thru operator said
“I started this role when I was 17, I accidentally forgot to add potato and gravy to the order and it ruined my life”
