In a move to make Pak n Save New Zealand’s premier supermarket, the grocery chain has decided to display modern art exhibitions to attract more customers.

This comes after one Pak n Save employee recently visited the Louvre whilst travelling in Europe and had a grand idea.

“Supermarkets are the same wherever you go, so what better way to separate yourself from the rest than to include a built in gallery”

The modern art installations are said to increase customer foot traffic by up to 60% and therefore increase revenue.

One shopper said they are making a permanent switch to Pak n Save for their weekly shop as long as the supermarket keeps up with exhibitions.

“I’ve always been an art lover and being able to come to the supermarket and enjoy one of my passions is amazing, as long as Pak n Save keeps showing art I will keep coming”.

It is rumoured the next Pak n Save art piece will be “The last supper of leftovers” or “Mona Lisa’s grocery list”.
