The National Business Review has just released its annual rich list, showing off the wealthiest Kiwis and families.

The 2025 list profiled 119 Kiwi individuals and families with a total valuation of $102.1 billion, up from $95.55 billion from last year.

A billionaire property developer.

 

  1. Fukutake Family – $1.6 Billion

Candle manufacturers and runs Humphreys Landscaping.

 

  1. Talley Family – $1.6 Billion

Known for running the Talleys group, a kiwi agribusiness.

 

  1. Sir Michael Friedlander – $2 Billion

Founder of the property investment company, Samson Corporation

 

  1. Rod Drury – $2.1 Billion

Founder of accounting software company Xero

 

  1. Sir Peter Jackson and Dame Fran Walsh – $2.6 Billion

Filmmakers most known for The Lord of the Rings 

 

  1. Todd Family – $3.5 Billion

Investors involved in energy, property, healthcare and technology

 

  1. Goodman Family – $5 Billion

Involved in a range of industries, including real estate, food and investment

 

  1. Graeme Hart – $12.1 Billion

Owner of Rank Group, a private equity firm

 

  1. Nick and Mat Mowbray – $20 billion

Founders of Zuru toys and are now industry leaders.
