Event organisers for American rapper Travis Scott’s Auckland show has urged concert goers to bring “protective gear” for safety purposes.
This comes after what was seen at Travis Scott’s Melbourne show last week where concert goers eager for a high-octane show got what they bargained for both inside and outside of the concert.
Reports described concertgoers clashing, throwing plastic bottles and dismantling barricades.
As some fans attempted to breach security barriers to enter the mosh pit, physical altercations with security guards erupted.
Reminiscent of the infamous 2021 Astroworld concert in Houston, organisers in Auckland will be making safety the number one priority.
In a statement, protective gear may include steel cap shoes, bullet proof vests and protective eyewear.
Security has also been bolstered to max looking like something out of a battle scene from the Lord Of The Rings trilogies, one guard has been taking the role incredibly seriously repeating the same phrase for the last 4 hours.
“You shall not pass!”
